Founded in 1955 predominantly as a specialised workshop by owners who were already working in the rubber industry, SOLGOMMA has evolved structurally and technically to become a SPA in 1985.

Slow and progressive development has made it possible to strengthen their position with the use of cutting-edge technology and highly skilled personnel. Solgomma S.p.A. covers an area of more than 6000 m₂ and is equipped with a technical research laboratory and a quality control laboratory.

The company is divided into three departments managed by members of the second generation:

rubber molding

This involves designing and producing technical articles in rubber that the company is able to develop by working directly with our customers.

They work in every field of application. Manufacture involves producing rollers up to a maximum diameter of 1250 mm and a maximum length of 9000 mm.

RUBBER
NATURAL ELEMENT

In 500 BC the Aztecs discovered that by heating the sap of the gum tree created a waterproof, elastic and versatile material which could be made into shoes, waterproof clothing and containers. Today Solgomma S.p.A. using the same ancient natural element, to create products that are able to satisfy the needs of many different users in various fields of application.

RUBBER
CHEMICAL ELEMENT

Synthetic rubbers are produced from simple hydrocarbons that generate material that can be stretched considerably and then quickly return to its initial shape, and is at the same time very resistant. The experience that Solgomma S.p.A. has gained in more than 50 years in the business is demonstrated in their production of synthetic rubbers with varying rheological and physical-mechanical characteristics that can be adapted to meet every customer demand.

research and development

The company departments are managed by an integrated computer system that makes it possible to transfer data and information and carry out management controls in real time. A research laboratory fitted with appropriate instrumentation is ready to develop new tailor-made recipes on specific request of the customer, even in small quantities. Studying the most efficient solutions to the demands of the customer is carried out every day in the three company departments and finds it major application in rubber moulding of technical articles. Every detail is the result of accurate design and evaluation studies together with the customer.

certifications

Solgomma, certified by DNV-GL according to UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standards for the "Development, production and marketing of rubber compounds. Hot rubber-metal application. Stamping of rubber parts (sector EA: 14)", guarantees products and constant quality services, in accordance with the use and requests of customers. The validity of this certificate is subject to periodic surveillance and a complete review of the system every three years.
